Job summary

The General Manager – Machining Division at Russell Tobin leads the performance, strategy, and operational excellence of the Machining Division across Malaysia and Singapore manufacturing plants. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
• MBA or postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in manufacturing or precision engineering industry.
• At least 8–10 years in senior leadership roles managing machining operations.
• Proven experience managing multi-site manufacturing operations or regional plants.
• Strong background in CNC machining, precision engineering, aerospace, semiconductor, or industrial equipment manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Regional Operational Leadership across Malaysia and Singapore plants to ensure SQDC targets are met.
• Develop and execute strategic roadmap for the Machining Division aligned with long-term objectives.
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence initiatives across plants.
• Oversee CNC machining operations, process engineering, and capacity planning.
• Monitor KPIs like productivity, OEE, cost per part, and on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with customers and commercial teams on capability and capacity planning.
• Lead and develop a high-performing leadership team across the region.
