Job summary

Randstad Malaysia represents a premier financial services client seeking an Equity Derivatives Sales Executive/Associate in Kuala Lumpur. You will expand cross-asset equity derivatives coverage for institutional clients and high-net-worth individuals, working with senior sales pros, trading desks in KL and Hong Kong.

Responsibilities include client engagement, product pitching (options, structured products, OTC swaps), pricing coordination with regional desks, and market updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• CMSRL Module 17 & 18 preferred.
• Strong understanding of Malaysian capital markets and derivatives.
• Proficiency in MS Excel; Bloomberg terminal knowledge; VBA or Python helpful.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is advantageous.
• 1–2 years of relevant internship/experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Client Engagement: Support senior sales leads in managing and developing relationships with top-tier Malaysian institutional investors.
• Product Pitching: Present tailored equity derivative products (options, structured products, OTC swaps).
• Execution & Pricing: Coordinate with regional trading desks to source live pricing, execute trades, and settle trades.
• Market Insights: Prepare term sheets, investment strategy notes, and market updates.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with research analysts to identify derivative trade ideas and assist in client roadshows/webinars.
• Compliance & Risk: Ensure activities comply with Securities Commission Malaysia regulations and internal risk guidelines.
