Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting for a Buyer/Procurement (Manufacturing) role based in Kulim, Malaysia. The position supports production planning, supplier management, and cost control within a globally recognized electronics manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years in procurement, experience with ERP/MRP systems, and a strong track record in supplier negotiations. This is a permanent on-site opportunity with structured career growth.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related disciplines.
Minimum 2 years of experience within Procurement, Purchasing, Buyer, Materials Planning, or Supply Chain functions.
Manufacturing industry experience is required.

Responsibilities

Execute purchasing and procurement activities based on production and MRP requirements.
Manage supplier relationships, delivery commitments, and purchasing performance.
Coordinate material availability to support manufacturing schedules and production demand.
Review RFQs, quotations, sourcing opportunities, and purchasing requirements.
Monitor inventory levels, shortages, allocations, and supply-related risks.
Support new product introductions, production ramp-ups, and end-of-life material planning activities.
Investigate supply chain issues and work closely with suppliers to drive resolutions.
Track purchase price variances, cost updates, and supplier performance metrics.
Participate in procurement process improvement, audit readiness, and compliance activities.
