Job summary

Park Place Technologies is seeking an Associate Buyer/Planner in Shah Alam, Malaysia, to oversee timely planning and procurement of regional inventory. You will coordinate sparing for new products, maintain supplier relations, and drive improvements to meet SLA targets and customer expectations.

You will work on regional inventory plans, use MRP/ERP tools, and contribute to continuous improvement with a strong emphasis on data-driven decisions and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in Buyer or Buyer/Planner roles with MRP/ERP or Demand Planning systems.
• Background in Customer Service and/or bookkeeping is a plus but not required.
• Strong Excel, communication, and cross-department collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage materials planning for the specified region.
• Coordinate sparing for new product introductions and stocking quantities.
• Aim for >95% part availability by year 1 end and drive annual improvements.
• Ensure localized inventory is replenished to field sites and customer sites.
• Publish key performance metrics on a timely basis.
• Develop expertise in ASTEA, CRM, Min/Max and related tools.
• Assist with regional quotes for equipment spare planning to meet SLA.
• Drive continuous improvement to define best-in-class practices.
• Plan and procure components from preferred suppliers at best total cost.
• Maintain relationships with global suppliers for shipping and PO monitoring.
• Proactively report part availability issues and advise on availability for inquiries.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
