Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a proactive Receptionist / Switchboard Operator to welcome guests and manage a multi-line switchboard with professionalism. You will coordinate appointments, assist employees, and provide accurate information about our services and products.

On-site role based in Malaysia, Selangor, requiring strong communication, organizational skills and a customer-first attitude to maintain a positive, efficient front-desk experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage reception area; keep it tidy and presentable.

Your day at NTT DATA

The Receptionist / Switchboard Operator has the responsibility to deliver a friendly, efficient customer service and to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for employees and guests.

Key responsibilities:

• Takes responsibility for the reception area, ensuring the reception area is tidy and presentable.
• Receives and welcome Guests and advise the relevant internal stakeholders of the guest/visitor’s arrival timeously.
• Answers, screens and redirects incoming calls.
• Routes emergency calls, forwarding them to the appropriate internal stakeholders, ensuring that the call reaches the appropriate person.
• Performs administrative duties such as typing, capturing and updating information on the relevant systems.
• Sorts mail and packages when required.
• Manages all logistics relating to public meeting rooms.
• Ensures that detailed messages are passed on to relevant persons immediately.
• Screens walk-in clients/guests.
• Establishes and maintains an electronic/manual diary for scheduled appointments.
• Handles queries related to the company’s products, services and/or people.
• Performs any other related task as required.
