Job summary

GUANGDONG INTERCITY O&M (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is seeking a railway signalling technician to perform inspections, testing and preventive maintenance on signalling equipment and to support incident response across the East Coast Rail Link project in Malaysia.

The role requires shift work in trackside environments, familiarity with OSHE and high-voltage safety, and the ability to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Candidates should be medically fit and able to pass required exams.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with OSHE requirements and high-voltage safety procedures is preferred.
• PPE and 5S practices knowledge is preferred.
• Willing and able to work shifts in trackside environments and respond to emergencies.
• Good written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections, testing, preventive maintenance and repairs of railway signalling equipment in accordance with maintenance plans and work procedures.
• Use standard test instruments; assist with fault isolation, component replacement and restoration of signalling functions.
• Accurately complete defect, test, fault and equipment records, and manage tools and spare parts.
• Participate in shift work and emergency repairs, and strictly comply with train operations and railway signalling safety rules.
• Support other departments on maintenance-related matters, including service recovery and incident response.
• Record and report daily work to the supervisor in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System requirements.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workplace before, during and after work in line with 5S practices.
• Wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with KTMB Occupational Safety, Health and Environment (OSHE) policies at all times.
