Job summary

KPJ Penang Specialist Hospital is seeking a Radiographer to implement policies for Diagnostic Imaging Services in liaison with management and oversee daily operations to ensure quality patient care at all times.

You will assist the Radiographer in Charge to maintain imaging equipment, train new staff, and help deliver high-standard radiographic services while upholding safety, hygiene, and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in Medical Imaging is required.
Policies and procedures for Diagnostic Imaging Services must be implemented.
Ensure safe, high-quality imaging services with low radiation dose.
Maintain equipment and hygiene according to standards.

Responsibilities

To implement the policies and procedures for the Diagnostic Imaging Services in liaison with the management.
To ensure that day to day operations are carried out efficiently, thus ensuring quality service is provided to patients.
To assist the Radiographer in Charge to maintain and take cares the imaging equipments and their accessories and other machines in the services.
To assist in the daily operational and administration of the services in liaison with the Radiographer in Charge.
To assist the Radiographer in Charge to supervise, train and orientate other new Radiographers and lower category staffs.
To take good quality radiographs and to keep low radiation dose to patients.
To provide highest quality of patients care at all times to internal and external customers.
To ensure tidiness, cleanness and hygienic measures to prevent cross infection in the services are maintained at all times.
To do overtime and other duties as designated by the Radiographer in Charge.
To specialized in special procedures or modality as instructed
Participate actively in any other new service that is introduced
Ensure the policies on patients and family’s rights are addressed at all times.
Ensure compliance to Patient safety goals as safety improvement measures recommended by World Alliance for Patient Safety (2008)
To carried out duties as an employee as stipulated in Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations 1994:
To take reasonable care at work for the safety of yourself and other persons;
To co-operate with your employer or any other person in the discharge of any duty;
To wear or use any protective equipment or clothing provided by the employer; To comply with any instruction or measure on occupational safety and health.
To comply with the requirements as stipulated in ACT 304, Atomic Energy Licensing Act and regulations
Adopt the policies and procedures of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45000:2018, Malaysian Hospital Accreditation Standards and Joint Commission International Accreditation Standards
