Job summary

PRINX TIRE (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is seeking a qualified RSO to implement Malaysian AELB regulations, oversee the full lifecycle management of radioactive sources, and ensure safety of personnel and the environment.

You will supervise storage/use, monitor dose data, conduct training and drills, and coordinate regulatory reporting with the EHS team.

Bachelor's degree or higher and strong regulatory knowledge required; previous experience in radiation safety is essential.

Responsibilities

Job description

RPO Certified Radiation Safety Officer responsible for implementing Malaysian AELB and radiation safety related laws and regulations, coordinating the full life cycle management of radioactive sources. Responsible for radiation monitoring, personnel dose supervision, storage and use control of radioactive materials, preventing radiation leakage and excessive risks, ensuring personnel health and environmental safety, and meeting official annual review and inspection requirements.

Key responsibilities

Supervise the entire process of storage, use and return of radioactive sources, ensuring double locks and clear ledgers to prevent loss, misuse and leakage

Inspect protective facilities, warning signs, and shielding devices daily, stop potential hazards immediately and urge rectification

Establish radiation source ledgers and dose files, complete official report declarations and data updates on schedule, and meet verification requirements

Carry out radiation safety training and emergency drills, familiarize yourself with the emergency response procedures for leaks and losses, and implement protective measures

Implement environmental and personal dose monitoring, record data and report abnormalities to ensure dose values are within regulatory limits

Coordinate the compliance recycling and disposal of waste sources, and cooperate with the AELB Atomic Energy Agency's annual review, inspection and data provision

Stop illegal operation of radioactive sources and inspect radiation protection facilities and sites

Require relevant departments to rectify hidden dangers within a time limit, and review radiation accounts and monitoring data

Cooperate with official inspections and obtain information, and report and make suggestions for handling radiation violations

Report to the EHS manager/factory manager; collaborate with production, maintenance, warehousing, and quality inspection departments to carry out radiation source inspections, dose monitoring, and safety training

About you

Master Malaysian radiation safety regulations, radioactive source classification management requirements, radiation protection principles, personal dose supervision specifications

Familiar with the use of radiation monitoring instruments, ledger management and official reporting requirements

Possess skills in full-process management of radiation sources, on-site protection supervision, and operation of monitoring instruments

Able to independently establish accounts, identify radiation risks, handle minor emergencies

Skillfully interface with regulatory authorities, with good compliance and record control capabilities
