HFG Insurance Recruitment seeks an Assistant Manager/Manager to lead Record to Report activities in Kuala Lumpur. You will manage staff cost, fixed assets, month-end close, and group reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance across statutory and regulatory duties.

You will coordinate internal and external audits, drive process improvements, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with stakeholders across finance. Big 4 exposure is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
• An internationally recognized accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, ICAEW or equivalent would be an advantage.
• Candidates currently pursuing a professional accounting qualification may also be considered.
• 3–5 years for AM, 5–7 for Manager grade of relevant finance or accounting experience, preferably with supervisory, review or team lead responsibilities.
• Strong experience in Record to Report / General Ledger accounting and month-end closing.
• Experience in financial reporting, reconciliations and financial analysis.
• Experience in fixed asset and/or lease accounting would be an advantage.
• Experience in Group, statutory or regulatory reporting would be advantageous.
• Previous experience with a Big 4 audit firm and/or financial services industry would be preferred.
• Experience within the Fund Management industry would be an advantage.
• Experience supporting audits across multiple jurisdictions would be beneficial.

Responsabilités

• Staff costs accounting: salary, bonuses, share awards and employee claims.
• Record and reconcile staff-related costs.
• Liaise with HR to resolve employee cost queries.
• Ensure staff cost accounting is accurate and timely.
• Fixed assets and leases: accounting, documentation and timelines.
• Support asset additions, transfers, disposals and depreciation.
• Coordinate asset verification and stock-take exercises.
• Maintain records for fixed assets and leases.
• Month-end close and GL: accruals and reconciliations.
• Investigate long-outstanding balances and ensure timelines.
• Perform monthly variance analysis and provide insights.
• Prepare Group reporting submissions and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate reporting for indirect tax and corporate tax.
• Support audits and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Improve data quality and reporting processes.
• Document SOPs and promote best practices.
• Mentor junior staff and share knowledge.
• Support ad hoc analyses and special projects.
