Job summary

Averis in Malaysia seeks a competent finance professional to perform Record-to-Report activities in line with SLA KPIs, ensuring accurate processing of fixed assets and general ledger transactions.

You will coordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings with business groups and shared services, prepare entity and group level reports, and support system updates and audits. The role also involves driving continuous improvement initiatives and mentoring juniors to build team spirit.

Qualifications

• Experience in record-to-report operations.
• Familiarity with month-end / year-end closing processes.
• Knowledge of accounting standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operational activities of fixed asset and general accounting master data and transactional processing of fixed assets and general accounting entries, budget control.
• Coordinate and execution of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities with Business Groups and shared service teams to ensure timely and accurate closure of accounts.
• Preparation of entity level & group consolidate level of management reports, reconciliations / analysis.
• Preparation of entity level & group consolidate level of statutory reports, reconciliations / analysis.
• Support regular update of financial accounting / group consolidation / reporting system to ensure master data accuracy and compliance.
• Support new service transition including requirement gathering, user acceptance testing (UAT), verification of results and issue escalation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives such as RPA / LEAN 6 Sigma / KAIZEN and other ad-hoc projects.
• Attend to queries from Business Groups and resolve in a timely, responsible manner.
• Provide support to Business Groups on audit related matters, as necessary.
• Act as a mentor to juniors to encourage good practice and build team spirit.
• Back up for Team Lead on operational activities, and take up ad-hoc/new assignments.
