Job summary

AIA Shared Services in Malaysia is seeking an accounting professional to deliver End-to-End accounting services, from general ledger entries to reporting and analysis, within Group policies and timelines.

The role covers transaction processing, reconciliations, IFRS 17/IFRS 4 related activities, and compliance with internal controls. Fresh graduates are welcome, with preference for those having multinational experience.

Qualifications

• University Degree in accountancy or Accounting Professional Qualification.
• Fresh graduates welcomed to apply.
• 2 years of experience in financial and accounting field in a multinational company is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and park accounting entries for insurance and reinsurance transactions, including journals, accruals, adjustments, and reclassifications.
• Prepare reinsurance templates, inter-company billings, settlements, and clearing activities.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities to meet timelines and SLAs.
• Perform variance analysis and explain significant movements in balances and P&L.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate reconciling items.
• Support IFRS reporting activities and regulatory reporting templates.
