Job summary

Alcon is seeking a junior finance professional to support general finance, accounting, and RTR activities in our Malaysia Shared Services environment. You will assist with transaction processing, period-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting, working closely with regional teams.

The role requires 1–2 years of relevant experience and a solid understanding of accounting principles with IFRS familiarity.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of general finance, accounting, or RTR experience; exposure to Shared Services is an advantage.
• Knowledge of accounting principles; familiarity with IFRS and company policies is a plus.
• Exposure to RTR activities across month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close; journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ability to follow SOPs, supporting documentation, and audit evidence with guidance.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Assist with internal or external audit requests and provide basic schedules and documentation.
• Coordinate with stakeholders across teams or regions to resolve issues and ensure timely deliverables.
• Identify reconciling items and escalate to senior team members as needed.
