Job summary

Roche Malaysia invites applications for a Fixed Assets and Lease Accountant. You will oversee fixed assets, leases and related month-end processes, applying IFRS16 and ensuring accurate postings.

The role requires SAP experience, English and Japanese language skills, and a collaborative spirit within a shared services context. You will interact with Finance and Tax teams, support audits, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining tight controls and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Finance & Accounting orCommerce.
• 1–3 years' experience in fixed asset and lease accounting.
• SAP knowledge or other ERP accounting systems essential.
• Proficiency in English and Japanese; N3 level or higher required.
• Experience in a shared service or outsourcing setup preferred.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork ethos.

Responsibilities

• Manage fixed assets and leases, including creation, depreciation, disposal, transfers, and reporting.
• Coordinate month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities per IFRS16.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and support FINCO/Tax schedules.
• Assist audits with schedules and documentation; ensure ICFR compliance.
• Support continuous improvement and maintain up-to-date process documentation.
