Job summary

Roche in Malaysia is seeking a Fixed Assets & Lease Accountant to manage asset creation, disposals, maintenance, transfers, depreciation runs and reporting. You will perform month-end, quarter-end and year-end close, capital project accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and assist audits and tax schedules.

The role requires 1–3 years of experience, SAP or ERP familiarity, MS Office, and fluency in English and Japanese (N3).

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Finance & Accounting/Commerce or equivalent.
• Minimum 1–3 years’ experience in fixed assets & leases accounting or related field.
• SAP knowledge or other ERP accounting systems and MS Office tools.
• Proficiency in English and Japanese; Japanese language is mandatory (N3 level).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for fixed assets & lease accounting: creation, disposal, maintenance, transfer, depreciation runs and reporting.
• Coordinate and execute month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities for fixed assets & leases.
• Handle capital project accounting: setup, transactions, tracking, capitalization and ROI assessment.
• Prepare journals, monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and assist audit schedules and tax schedules.
• Ensure SLAs, ICFR compliance, and data documentation; support cross-functional teams as needed.
