Job summary

Charles Taylor is seeking an experienced R2R Accountant to manage record-to-report activities for UK/Europe entities. The role aligns to European working hours with responsibilities spanning month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, inter‑company activity, and statutory reporting.

You will collaborate with the UK & Europe Financial Accountant Manager and Business Partnering teams. The role requires 5 years of finance accounting experience in a multinational environment, strong Excel/Word

Qualifications

• Must have semi-qualified/qualified accountant status with at least 5 years of commercial accounting experience, preferably in a multinational company.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong sense of accountability and ownership of the role.

Responsibilities

• Be the financial point of contact for entities assigned in the R2R team under UK/Europe region.
• Ownership of accounting and financial reporting and local finance operations to keep ledgers accurate and complete.
• Perform comprehensive month-end close and financials, delivering numbers to Group centre for consolidation.
• Manage monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve old balances; ensure outputs withstand auditors' scrutiny.
• Perform inter‑company reconciliations, recharges and revaluations.
• Carry out multi‑currency bank reconciliations and calculate revaluations.
• Review capital expenditure monthly and calculate depreciation charge.
• Manage GST/SST/VAT returns and statutory reporting; liaise with tax agents for filing.
• Coordinate year-end statutory accounts with auditors and ensure timely sign-off.
• Supervise the Assistant Accountant with coaching and feedback for performance development.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency, enforce policies, and support standardization initiatives.
• Improve and document processes for R2R activities.
