Job summary

Charles Taylor is seeking a Finance R2R professional based in Malaysia to support Europe and UK entities with European working hours (3pm–11pm in the first week, 12pm–8pm thereafter). You will manage month-end closes, balance sheet reconciliations, inter‑company activities, journal postings, tax returns and IFRS reporting, collaborating with the Group centre and Business Partnering teams.

The role requires a semi-qualified accountant with 4+ years of multinational experience, strong Excel/Word

Qualifications

4 years minimum commercial accounting experience in a multinational company.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Strong accounting, analytical, time management and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, prioritise work under tight schedules, meet deadlines.
Excellent spoken and written English for cross-cultural collaboration.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive month-end close and financial reporting for the Europe/UK portfolio.
Carry out balance sheet reconciliations and inter-company accounting tasks.
Prepare and post journals and inter-company recharges and revaluations.
Conduct multi-currency bank reconciliations and depreciation calculations.
Assist with quarterly GST/SST/VAT returns and statutory IFRS reporting.
Support year-end statutory accounts for Europe/UK entities and audit queries.
