Job summary

Monks is the global, digital-first brand of S4 Capital plc seeking an Accountant to join the Corporate team. This full-time role covers day-to-day financial operations, month-end close, payroll tax, and statutory reporting within a regional Finance team.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years accounting experience, APAC exposure, and CPA preferred, with strong communication skills and adaptability in a fast-paced AdTech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Finance/Accounting or related fields.
• 3+ years accounting experience, 1+ years post qualification experience with a similar role.
• APAC experience preferred.
• CPA preferred.
• Year-end reporting and audit experience.
• Month-end experience involving complex accounting treatments.
• Proven experience in consolidation to International Group Company financial reporting.
• Experience in AdTech or technology startups preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and ability to adapt to rapidly-changing environments.
• Ability to multi-task with attention to details and minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the General Ledger Accounts.
• Manage Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Reconcile COGS accrual and bills on a monthly basis.
• Manage month end closing and statutory financial reporting accurately to meet reporting deadlines.
• Review and analysis of the Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss accounts.
• Preparation and lodgement of payroll tax and BAS/IAS/GST/VAT.
• Assist with consolidating quarter/half year/year end accounts and prepare papers for the S4 group.
• Assist with financial analysis.
• Liaise with the external tax advisory for any withholding tax implications in new markets.
• Assist with statutory tax lodgement.
• Assist with the Global and local statutory audit.
• Maintain and improve process and internal controls, following up mitigating actions.
• Work with external bookkeepers/vendors.
• Assist with ad hoc tasks and any other activities directed by Management

The Role

We're seeking an Accountant to join the Corporate team. This busy, hands-on role will be a key part of the regional Finance team and offers a range of responsibilities including managing the day-to-day financial operations, month end accounting and compliance. Responsibilities include(but not limited to):

Accounting and Reporting

• Maintain the General Ledger Accounts
• Manage Balance Sheet reconciliations

What you bring to it:

• Bachelors in Finance/Accounting or related fields
