Job summary

Halliburton in Malaysia seeks an entry-level R&M Mechanical Tech to perform repairs, maintenance, and inspections on down-hole tools at the Kemaman Supply Base. Working under supervision, you will apply mechanical skills and ensure safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with technical schooling preferred. Training will cover assembly/disassembly, interpretation of drawings, and precision measurements, contributing to reliable service in the Sperry Drilling Svcs line.

Qualifications

• Willingness to undergo safety training and learn on the job.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform repairs, preventive maintenance, calibration, and inspections on down-hole tools.
• Ensure safety, efficiency, and effectiveness in daily duties.
• Interpret drawings/schematics and assemble/disassemble down-hole equipment.
• Operate using precision measurement tools and computer systems as required.

Job Duties

• Under strict supervision, performs repairs, preventative maintenance, calibration, and inspections on down-hole tool and other equipment used in the application for down-hole tools.
• Responsible for ensuring duties are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
• Areas of specialization may include: mechanical aptitude, interpretation of drawings/schematics, use of precision measurements, computer skills, assembly and disassembly of tools associated with down-hole equipment.
• Requires a high school diploma, or equivalent, and a technical school certificate or higher is preferred.
