Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, perform preventive maintenance and inspections on down-hole tools and related equipment.
• Coordinate maintenance, repair and calibration activities for down-hole tools and surface equipment.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced repair personnel and train tool technicians.
• May serve as Train the Trainer to assist lifecycle or legacy tool training.
• Ensure duties are performed safely, efficiently and effectively.
• Evaluate equipment performance and suggest improvements based on maintenance history.

Job Duties

• Under general supervision, performs diagnoses, repairs, preventative maintenance, and inspections on down-hole tool and other equipment used in the application for down-hole tools.
• Coordinates the activities involved in maintenance, repair, and calibration of down-hole tools and surface equipment.
• Promotes services excellence and customer satisfaction.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less experienced repair and maintenance personnel and trains and assists tool technicians.
• Can be a Train the Trainer to help assist training on lifecycle or legacy tool lines.
• Responsible for ensuring duties are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
• Assists in making evaluations and recommendations for improvements on equipment, based on maintenance history.
• Areas of specialization may include: Mechanical aptitude, interpretation of drawings/schematics, use of precision measurements, computer skills, assembly and disassembly of tools associated with down-hole equipment.
• Requires a technical school certificate, or equivalent, and a minimum of three years relevant experience in mechanical equipment repair and maintenance.
• An Associates degree or higher is preferred.
