Job summary

Halliburton in Labuan, Malaysia seeks an Entry-Level Technician to perform repairs, calibration, and maintenance on down-hole tool electronics and related equipment. You will work under supervision to ensure safe and efficient operations and may focus on mechanical or electronic aptitude, computer skills, and PSL tool assembly/disassembly.

The role requires a technical school certificate with an associate degree or higher preferred, and offers opportunities to advance within Sperry Drilling Svcs.

Job Duties

• Under strict supervision, performs repairs, preventative maintenance, calibration, and inspections on down-hole tool electronics and other equipment used in the application for down-hole tools, including Directional/ RSS or M/LWD sensors.
• Responsible for ensuring duties are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
• Areas of specialization may include: mechanical aptitude, electronics aptitude, computer skills, assembly and disassembly of tools associated with PSL equipment, or Measure while drilling and/or Logging While Drilling down-hole tools.
• Requires a technical school certificate, or equivalent.
• An associate degree or higher is preferred.

Qualifications

Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs. Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available, including “R&M Electrical Tech II”, or “R&M Electrical Tech III”.
