Job summary

ViTrox Corporation Berhad, based in Penang, is seeking an R&D software engineer to design, develop and implement vision application tools. You will work on algorithm development, image processing optimization, and data analysis for customer projects.

The role involves hands-on development in C/C++ or Java, and close collaboration with global customers to deliver innovative vision solutions for semiconductor manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Background in Computer Science or Engineering (Software / Computer / Mechatronics / Electronic & Electrical) or equivalent.
• Programming experience required; especially in C/C++ and Java.
• Knowledgeable in vision system development, image processing, AI, neural networks, and vision control.

Responsibilities

• Work on algorithm comprehension, planning, development, testing and monitor the practical runs at customer sites
• Optimise the image processing technique by using DL/ML methods
• Analyse data collected from customer sites for repeatability, reproducibility and trend observation
• Develop inspection algorithms in C, C++ or Java
• Develop new features and apply them at customer sites to ensure successful implementation
