Job summary

Emerson in Penang invites applications for a project management role within the Penang R&D Sustaining Group. The position leads cross-functional projects through the full lifecycle, balancing scope, cost, and schedules with a manufacturing background to address escalations and lifecycle initiatives.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Services to deliver results, drive improvements, and ensure governance compliance in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead medium-to-large cross-functional projects through the full project lifecycle.
• Requires manufacturing background.
• Handle manufacturing escalations, customer escalations, quality/RMA escalations and lifecycle management projects.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and action-item tracking.
• Manage scope, cost, timelines, and resource requirements to achieve project objectives.
• Facilitate planning, decision-making, and problem-solving across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Services, and other stakeholders.
• Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks while balancing schedule, cost, quality, and feature requirements.
• Drive alignment among cross-functional stakeholders and escalate issues appropriately when needed.
• Build strong partnerships across functions to ensure successful project execution.
• Provide clear and timely project communications to project teams, sponsors, and leadership.
• Evaluate trade-offs and make recommendations to support business objectives and project success.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote project management best practices.
• Ensure compliance with applicable product development processes, tools, and governance requirements.
