Job summary

Biszon Flexipack Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a proactive Research and Development Executive to drive product ideas from concept through prototype. You will collaborate with management, marketing and R&D teams on feasibility, design specs and timelines for new packaging solutions.

The role requires strong analytical and reporting skills, with experience in the packaging industry and a background in polymer science being an asset.

Qualifications

• Must possess analytical and statistical analysis skills.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Strong technical report background and polymer science background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meeting with management, marketing and R&D to discuss product ideas.
• Conducting market research and evaluating similar products and their functions.
• Collaborating with engineering and marketing on product feasibility.
• Redesigning existing products to improve functionality or reduce costs.
• Creating design projects and specification sheets.
• Presenting product designs to management and stakeholders.
• Overseeing engineering of product prototypes and testing their functionality, usability and longevity.
• Overseeing the production process and enhancing process efficiency via automation and data analytics.
• Follow up on R&D project timelines to ensure on-schedule completion.
