Job summary

Saint-Gobain Malaysia is seeking an R&D Laboratory Technician to support engineers in testing cement sand stabilization, mortars, and concrete prototypes. You will perform routine tests, operate a lab mixer, prepare samples, and document results to ensure high standards.

Responsibilities include data recording, equipment calibration, safety adherence, and collaboration with QA/QC and operations for timely issue resolution.

Qualifications

• High school education or certificate level or higher.
• Able to work independently in a lab environment.
• Good time management and teamwork skills.
• Strong command of Bahasa Malaysia & English; computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Assist R&D engineers with new material trials and prototype development.
• Conduct routine lab tests including density, strength, and other material analyses.
• Operate and calibrate lab equipment; maintain safety and 5S standards.
• Record data accurately and maintain detailed lab documentation.
• Coordinate with QA/QC and operations to ensure smooth trial runs.
