Job summary

Nokia Solutions and Networks Sdn Bhd is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join the FN Broadband Network Fiber Access R&D team. You will own full-cycle development, debugging and optimization of OLT embedded software on Linux, ensuring reliable performance for GPON, XGS-PON and 50GPON devices.

Responsibilities include design, development and integration, collaborate with cross-functional teams for verification, and contribute to deployment and upgrades of fiber broadband access products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or above in Communication, Electronic Information, Computer and related majors.
• 2+ years embedded product development experience, proficient in C/C++.
• Solid Linux embedded development capability, kernel adaptation, driver development and debugging methods.
• Familiar with basic telecom network principles; able to independently complete embedded software development and troubleshooting.
• Nice to have: PON access experience, OMCI protocol and OLT architecture.
• Proficient in using AI tools Cursor and Copilot to improve coding efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities

• Complete full-lifecycle requirement analysis, technical design, coding implementation, debugging and performance optimization for Nokia OLT products, covering GPON, XGS-PON and 50GPON technologies, and undertake software integration, function iteration and version release.
• Implement embedded Linux system adaptation, driver debugging and service module tuning to guarantee stability, reliability and performance of telecom OLT system.
• Design, develop and optimize equipment clock synchronization functions based on IEEE 1588v2, PTP and NTP protocols to comply with unified telecom network timing specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct product verification, resolve technical faults, and ensure smooth project delivery and commercial deployment.

You Have:

• Familiar with basic telecom network principles, able to independently complete embedded software development and troubleshooting.

It would be nice if you also had:

• Practical development experience in PON access technology, familiar with OMCI protocol and OLT product architecture.

Project experience in telecom equipment clock synchronization function development and optimization.

• Proficient in using AI auxiliary programming tools (Cursor, Copilot) to improve coding efficiency and code quality is a strong plus.
