Job summary

QVI Foods Sdn Bhd in Kajang, Malaysia is offering an internship with the R&D team to support new product development, product improvement, formulation, and trial production.

You will assist in product trials, sensory evaluation, sampling of materials, documentation, data analysis, and collaboration with Production and QA/QC. Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Food Technology or related field.

Qualifications

• Current pursuit of a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• Basic knowledge of food processing and product development advantageous.
• Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, GMP, FSSC 22000 and HALAL advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist the R&D team in new product development and existing product improvement.
• Support product formulation, ingredient preparation and trial production.
• Assist in conducting product trials, testing and evaluations.
• Perform basic sensory evaluation of food products, including taste, texture, appearance and overall quality.
• Assist in sampling and testing of raw materials, in-process products and finished products.
• Support the preparation and maintenance of R&D documentation, formulations, trial records and reports.
• Assist in collecting and analyzing product and trial data.
• Conduct basic research on ingredients, food products and market trends where required.
• Assist in troubleshooting product and process issues during product trials.
• Support shelf-life studies and product stability testing where applicable.
• Work closely with Production, QA/QC and other relevant departments during product development and trials.
• Participate in R&D projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Gain exposure to relevant food safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Available for internship period of 3 months, 4 months, 6 months or longer.
