• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience in precast concrete, IBS, or construction/manufacturing.
• Experience with IP filings and technical write-ups is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead R&D and end-to-end commercialisation of patented precast/IBS technologies.
• Develop, prepare and file patent/utility/trademark applications with technical write-ups.
• Develop commercialisation strategy and direct marketing/brand positioning.
• Ensure all technologies meet relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Marketing on materials and manage digital channels (website, Facebook, LinkedIn).
• Drive digital transformation by implementing internal systems to replace paper workflows.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and management to align product development with market needs.

About the Role

We are seeking an R&D Engineer to drive the research, development, and commercialisation of our patented precast / IBS (Industrialised Building System) technologies. This cross-functional role spans engineering, business development, and marketing — ideal for someone who wants to take a product from concept through to market adoption, ensuring it is scalable, compliant, and widely adopted.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead R&D and the end-to-end commercialisation of patented precast / IBS technologies — from design and cost analysis through market studies, regulatory compliance, and scaling for adoption.
• Develop, prepare and file applications for new patents, utility innovations, and trademarks, including the required technical write-ups and supporting documentation.
• Develop the commercialisation strategy for the company's patented products, and direct marketing and brand positioning to drive market uptake.
• Ensure all technologies meet relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with the Marketing department on marketing materials and manage the company's digital channels — its website and social media (Facebook and LinkedIn) — including their upkeep and maintenance.
• Drive the company's digital transformation by implementing internal systems that replace manual, paper-based workflows.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and management teams to align product development with market and customer needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (a must).
• Experience in precast concrete, IBS, or the construction / manufacturing industry (R&D or product development experience is an advantage).
• Commercially minded with the ability to bridge technical and business functions.
• Experience with or willingness to handle intellectual property filings (patents, utility innovations, trademarks) and technical write-ups.
• Good communication skills and a proactive, self-driven attitude.
• A good grasp of contracts — such as NDAs and licensing agreements with clients — is a bonus.
• Able to handle and communicate effectively with international clients.
