Job summary

The Arnott's Group is seeking an R&D coordinator based in Bangsar South to drive capital project qualification and end-to-end trial execution in a food manufacturing setting.

You will support supply chain operations, lead material reviews, and manage heat penetration studies with internal teams and external partners. Strong English and Bahasa Malaysia communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science or Food Technology.
• Minimum 4 years working experience in food manufacturing, production processes or R&D activities.
• No food allergies or major food inhibitions.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP and Halal requirements; familiarity with local Food Act & Regulations; good communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate capital project qualification and commercialization; lead end-to-end trial planning and execution, process qualification and production commercialization.
• Support Enabler and Business Continuity programs; lead or participate in projects to support Supply Chain operations and meet financial targets; involve material review, production trials and technical report writing.
• Lead heat penetration studies with internal and external partners; manage schedules, recipe readiness and material coordination; drive active communication.
• Support and participate in maintaining R&D systems, documentation, shelf-life evaluation, plant troubleshooting and R&D inventory quality processes.

Job description

This role will be based in Bangsar South.

What you'll be doing

• Capital project qualification and commercialization - As main R&D coordinator with project team which includes leading in process development, end-to-end trial plan development and execution, process qualification and production commercialization.
• Support on Enabler program, Business Continuity Program and alternative material sourcing by leading or participating in projects to support Supply Chain operations and deliver on financial targets. Work includes material review and assessment, production trials, shelf-life evaluation, project management, stakeholder management and technical report writing.
• Lead in coordinate on heat penetration studies with internal technical team and external key partners by maintaining and tracking work schedule, recipe readiness, material coordination and driving active communication.
• Supports and participate in managing and maintaining R&D systems, documentation, shelf-life evaluation, plant troubleshooting, R&D inventory holding and quality issue reviews.

Requirements

• Degree in Food Science/ Food Technology or related Sciences.
• Minimum 4 years working experience in food manufacturing industry, production processes and R&D related activities.
• No food allergies or any major food inhibitions.
• Strong knowledge of food processes, food safety requirements, local Food Act & Regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP and Halal requirements.
• Good verbal and written communication skills (English & Bahasa Malaysia)
• Strong analytical thinking, problem solving and project management skills.
