China Communications Construction Company (M) Sdn. Bhd. (CCCC Malaysia) is seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join the project team in Johor Bahru.

You will prepare BQ, take-offs, cost estimates and monitor costs across the project, coordinating with managers, site teams, subcontractors and suppliers. The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying with relevant construction experience, strong negotiation and communication skills, and the willingness to work

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent qualification.
• Relevant working experience in Quantity Surveying within the construction industry.
• Familiar with BQ preparation, progress claims, variation orders, and cost control.
• Good communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work independently.
• Willing to work on-site in Johor Bahru.
• Mandarin-speaking ability is an advantage for communication with Chinese-speaking colleagues and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BQ), quantity take-offs, and cost estimates.
• Handle progress claims, variation orders (VO), and project cost monitoring.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Assist with subcontractor payment evaluations and cost comparisons.
• Monitor project budgets and maintain accurate QS documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Perform other QS-related duties as assigned.
