Job summary

SKYWIZ GROUP SDN BHD is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support cost estimation, tendering, and contract administration for multiple projects in Melaka. You will review drawings, prepare BQ, and coordinate with contractors and suppliers.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma/Degree in Quantity Survey and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in main-contracting and development, with strong costing and negotiation skills. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Glodon, and MS Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Quantity Survey or its equivalent.
• At least 3 years of working experience in related field Main-Contractor Cum Developer.
• Well-versed on up-to-date material costing.
• Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia and/or Mandarin as there are the main languages used on site.

Responsibilities

• Review consultant drawings and carry out quantity take-off for pre- and post-contract works.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ), cost estimates and project budgets.
• Obtain and compare quotations from sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Coordinate tender exercises, evaluate bids and prepare tender comparison/award recommendations.
• Negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers to achieve competitive pricing.
• Prepare and evaluate interim payments, variation orders and final accounts.
• Manage contractual matters, including claims from sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Prepare Letters of Award, contracts, notices and other contractual documents.
• Coordinate with project teams on variation orders, extension of time, loss and expense claims, etc.
• Attend site valuations, joint measurements and project/site meetings.
• Prepare cost analysis and recommend alternative designs or cost-saving options.
• Liaise effectively with consultants, construction teams, sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Able to work independently, meet tight deadlines and perform well under pressure.
