Job summary

JAWAT JOHAN SDN. BHD. seeks a qualified Quantity Surveyor for its Kota Kinabalu projects. The role focuses on preparing cost plans, Bills of Quantities and tender documentation, with responsibilities spanning tender evaluation, cost estimation and contract administration.

The successful candidate will manage tender submissions, monitor budgets, and liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Diploma or professional degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity surveying.
• Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Able to liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and contractors.
• Able to work under pressure and independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and Bills of Quantities.
• Take-off quantities, valuation, variation orders and final accounts.
• Review tenders and contracts; prepare tender and contracts documents.
• Evaluate tenders, prepare tender submissions, cost estimation, project follow-up, handle claims and payments.
• Monitor budgets and track direct costs.
• Liaise with client, consultant, suppliers, subcontractors and authorities.

Quantity Surveyor– Kota Kinabalu

Responsibilities:

• To prepare of details estimates and Bills of Quantities of Project Costing.
• To prepare & perform quantity taking off, valuation, variation orders and final account
• To responsible in tender/contracts review, drafting agreements, preparing tender and contracts documents.
• Able to evaluation of tender, preparation of tender submission, BQ & cost estimation, follow up of projects, handle claim and payment for the project.
• Monitor budget and keep track of direct costs on projects.
• Able to liaise with client, consultant, suppliers, sub-contractors and authorities.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Professional Degree, Quantity Survey, Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
• Working experience in quantity surveying firm is an added advantage.
• Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
• At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Good team player with ability to work independently, resourceful and work well under pressure.
