Job summary

MGB Berhad in Malaysia is seeking a dedicated team member to support tendering and quantity surveying activities. You will assist in preparing tender documents, including Bills of Quantities and cost estimates, and participate in the tendering process for new projects by compiling, organizing, and reviewing submissions.

This role also provides administrative support to the Tender/Quantity Surveying team. Based in Sungai Way, Petaling Jaya, the ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Strong interest in construction cost management, tendering, and project controls.
• Basic understanding of measurement, cost estimation, or construction documentation.
• Proactive, willing to learn, and able to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Languages: English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Willing to be based in Sungai Way, Petaling Jaya.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of tender documents, including Bills of Quantities (BQ) and cost estimates.
• Participate in the tendering process for new projects, including compiling, organizing, and reviewing tender submissions.
• Assist in evaluating quotations from contractors and subcontractors under supervision.
• Help monitor and track project costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
• Support the identification of cost-saving opportunities and value engineering proposals during design and construction stages.
• Provide administrative and technical support to the Tender/Quantity Surveying team as required.
• Perform other duties assigned by the superior or management from time to time.
