Job summary

MGB Berhad in Malaysia is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support tendering and cost management across projects in Sungai Way, Petaling Jaya. You will assist in preparing tender documents, evaluating quotations, and tracking costs against budgets.

The role requires a relevant degree, a proactive, team-oriented mindset, and fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Interest in construction cost management, tendering, and project controls.
• Basic understanding of measurement, cost estimation, or construction documentation is an advantage.
• Proactive, willing to learn and able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of tender documents, including Bill of Quantities (BQ) and cost estimates.
• Participate in the tendering process for new projects, including compiling, organizing, and reviewing tender submissions.
• Assist in evaluating quotations from contractors and subcontractors under supervision.
• Help monitor and track project costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
• Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering proposals during design and construction stages.

Required languages: English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Willing to be based in Sungai Way, Petaling Jaya.
