Job summary

Boston Scientific Medical Device (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Quality Assurance specialist in Penang to support routine testing, document control and nonconformance handling. You will work with QA and Operations to ensure release criteria are met and to maintain compliance with laboratory procedures.

The role demands attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and strong collaboration with internal customers. This is a headcount expansion to strengthen our APAC site.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in engineering or science is required.
• 2–8 years of relevant quality experience.
• Experience in product/material inspection and release.
• Nonconformance handling and investigation.
• QA documentation experience.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Routine final functional testing and recording of test results.
• Review and update QA documentation.
• Initiate and close nonconforming reports.
• Support Quality Engineering and Operations functions.
• Ensure compliance with QA laboratory procedures and practices.
• Communicate environmental, health or safety concerns to Manager.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

Job description

Routine final functional testing, product/ material release criteria testing/inspection and recording of test results. Review and update of QA Documentation. Initiate and work on nonconforming report. Ensure the nonconforming report is closed in timely manner. Assist in compiling Monthly Nonconformance Board Report on an ad hoc basis.

Job Responsibilities:

Initiate and work on nonconforming report. Ensure the nonconforming report is closed in timely manner.

To provide assistance and support to the Quality Engineering and Operations function.

Compliance to all QA Laboratory and all relevant plant wide procedures and practices.

Compliance to all standard and regulation.

Provision of excellent service to all internal customers.

Communicates any concerns about work process regarding environmental impact, health or safety issues to their Manager.

Decision making ability coupled with the ability to work on ones own initiative and with minimum supervision is required.

Good interpersonal skills and organizational skills.

Excellent attention to detail.

Identifies, resolves and prevents Manufacturing issues by determining root cause and implementing corrective and preventive action.

Job Requirements:

Candidate required to have at least Diploma/Degree in Engineering or Science

2–8 years' relevant Quality experience

Product/material inspection and release

Nonconformance handling and investigation

QA documentation

Attention to detail and ability to work independently
