Job summary

VAT Vakuumventile AG in Malaysia is seeking a Quality Planning Process Engineer who will conduct process risk assessments, develop risk mitigations, and govern the production release of the PCS processes for NPI customization products.

The role requires deep knowledge of PFMEA/DFMEA, 4+ years in mechanical assembly, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to improve in-process quality controls and prevent failures.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in mechanical assembly industry (process development, leak testing, cleaning, cleanroom assembly).
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of FMEA and evaluating quality risks.
• Advanced knowledge and experience on in-process quality controls.
• Experience in root cause analysis and 8D problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality risks assessment of assembly process instructions and methods and collaborate with NPI process engineers to define mitigative measures before production release.
• Review risk mitigative measures in PCS process definitions and perform basic checks for data integrity before approval for production release.
• Track open actions related to quality risks from NPI sample builds and follow up closures before mass production release.
• Engage in problem solving related to assembly processes and communicate actions to required personnel.
• Involve in PFMEA and DFMEA sessions for NPI development products.
