Job summary

NationGate Plus Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia is seeking a Quality Engineer to maintain and improve the QMS in line with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949, and to lead investigations into customer quality issues.

You will drive 8D problem solving, develop PFMEA, Control Plans, SOPs, and inspection standards, and monitor quality performance while collaborating with Production and Engineering. Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant quality engineering experience in automotive plastics, plastic injection molding, EMS, assembly, or box build manufacturing.
• Experience in plastic injection molding processes and products, OR experience in assembly / box build manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 Quality Management Systems.
• Familiar with Automotive Core Tools: PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, SPC, MSA, 8D Problem Solving.
• Experience handling customer quality issues and customer-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 requirements.
• Handle customer complaints and quality issues, ensuring timely investigation and corrective actions.
• Lead and facilitate 8D problem-solving activities and root cause analysis.
• Develop, review, and maintain quality documentation including PFMEA, Control Plans, SOPs, and inspection standards.
• Monitor process and product quality performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support PPAP submissions and customer-specific quality requirements.
• Conduct and participate in internal, customer, and certification audits.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and related departments to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing processes.
• Investigate non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Analyze quality data and prepare reports for management review.
