Job summary

ESCATEC Mechatronics Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quality Molding Engineer to ensure product and process quality in the molding operation. You will establish quality plans, monitor process performance, and lead corrective actions to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities include FMEA participation, capability studies, and machine/tool validation. You will work with multiple departments to resolve quality issues and ensure ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliance.

Qualifications

2+ years of relevant experience in quality/manufacturing environments.
Good knowledge of molding processes and quality control.
Experience in Quality Plan, Inspection Plan and Control Plan.
Experience in FMEA, Cpk, MSA/GR&R and SPC.
Experience in FAI, sample run and trial run activities.

Responsibilities

Determine product/process and customer requirements into inspection standards and Quality Plans.
Prepare Quality Plan or Inspection Plan and determine process controls in the line.
Review and improve control plans to ensure acceptable quality levels at different production stages.
Participate in FMEA activities during NPI and review when necessary.
Conduct capability studies (Cpk) of processes and tooling including MSA.
Lead corrective action in molding to address customer complaints and returns.
Involve in machine, fixture and tool validation before production use.
Monitor molding quality trends and initiate actions with relevant departments.
Perform First Article inspection and prepare FAI reports traceable to progress.
Conduct MSA on measuring/inspection equipment.
Identify and address recurring quality issues related to product performance.
Assist in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 compliance.
