About the role

he Site Quality Inspector is a core on-site technical role responsible for full-process quality control of construction works. This position strictly monitors construction materials, construction techniques, workmanship and project compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, industry standards and local construction regulations. The inspector works closely with site engineers, contractors, subcontractors and consultants to prevent quality defects, eliminate construction risks, and ensure all construction activities meet quality requirements and project acceptance standards.

Key Job Responsibilities

Construction Material Quality Inspection

Conduct incoming inspection of all construction materials, accessories and equipment on site. Verify material certificates, test reports and compliance with approved material submittals. Check material specifications, quality grade and batch consistency, reject unqualified materials and prevent non-compliant materials from being used in construction. Supervise standard material storage, handling and protection to avoid quality damage caused by improper placement.

On-Site Construction Process Supervision

Perform daily patrol inspection of all on-site construction works including civil works, structural works, architectural finishing and MEP installation. Monitor the whole construction process, ensure all workers construct in accordance with approved construction drawings, method statements and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP). Standardize on-site workmanship, correct irregular construction behaviors in a timely manner, and ensure standardized and procedural construction operations.

Quality Inspection, Testing & Acceptance

Carry out on-site measurement and inspection for completed construction sections, conduct acceptance checks for general works and concealed works. Witness on-site testing activities as required, coordinate third-party inspection and testing work, and verify the authenticity and validity of test results. Submit Inspection Requests (IR) and Material Inspection Requests (MIR) to consultants for official inspection and approval before subsequent construction procedures.

Quality Problem Handling & Rectification Tracking

Timely identify and record on-site quality non-conformances, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for unqualified works. Put forward targeted corrective and preventive measures, track the whole process of rectification work, conduct re-inspection after rectification, and ensure all quality problems are completely closed and meet acceptance standards. Effectively control construction quality risks and avoid repeated quality defects.

Quality Document Management & Reporting

Responsible for sorting, compiling and archiving all on-site quality documents, including inspection records, daily quality logs, test reports, rectification records and project quality files. Prepare daily, weekly and monthly quality reports, record site quality status in detail, and report quality progress and existing problems to the project management team and consultants regularly.
