Job summary

Molex is seeking a Quality Engineer for the Local Assembly operations in Johor Bahru. The role focuses on ensuring product quality, driving continuous improvement, and supporting internal and external quality standards.

The position requires a degree in engineering and at least 3 years in electronics manufacturing, with strong knowledge of QMS/ESD/ISO and auditing, plus experience with SPC, FMEA, and related quality tools. On-site role in Gelang Patah.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in electronics manufacturing or similar.
• Knowledge of quality systems (QMS, ESD, ISO) and auditing.
• Familiarity with quality tools (SPC, FMEA, 8D, 5 Why).

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain in-process quality controls and inspection plans to ensure product conformity during manufacturing.
• Analyze COPQ and external (QN) data to identify areas for improvement and participate in GLSS projects.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain and ensure QMS/ESD/MSA are in place and in compliance in the area of responsibility.
• Plan and conduct internal quality audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures.
• Prepare necessary documentation and ensure timely closure of audit findings for customer and external audits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and drive preventive actions.
• Support in failure analysis and report drafting.
• Train new technicians/inspectors.
• Prepare weekly quality reports and review quality issues with other engineers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
