Job summary

Molex Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a Sr Quality Engineer for the Auto Assembly MQA team to independently enhance internal processes and improve subcontractor quality performance. You will support customer and manufacturing QA, driving continuous improvement across product quality and process performance.

You will interact with the plant, Molex entities, and external counterparts to resolve quality issues and deliver sustainable improvements in Auto Assembly operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Science or Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer.
• Ability to perform engineering analysis and drive root-cause resolution.
• Strong organizational skills and project management.
• Knowledge of SPC, FMEA and control plans.

Responsibilities

• Analyze product failures and define corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare 8D reports with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues.
• Develop inspection gates and in-process quality plans.
• Drive continuous improvement and supplier quality enhancements.
