Job summary

Kawan Food Manufacturing Sdn Bhd is seeking a QC professional to support the QC Manager in monitoring and controlling the Quality Management System across incoming, in-process and final inspections. You will ensure adherence to inspection requirements and help identify deviations from quality standards.

The role involves troubleshooting quality issues with production teams, strengthening QC workflows, and preparing procedures and trainings to maintain competency within the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Food Engineering / Food Science / Food Technology or equivalent.
• Sound knowledge of BRC and ISO 22000 standards.
• Background in Quality Control is essential.
• At least 2 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist QC manager to monitor and control QC systems for incoming, in-process and final inspection.
• Cross-check QA processes to ensure adherence to inspection requirements.
• Oversee product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards.
• Troubleshoot quality-related problems with production and other departments.
• Strengthen QC systems to reduce material or product flaws.
• Prepare procedures, training materials and org charts for QC staff.
• Prepare COA and export documents; send samples to lab.
• Review non-conformance reports and customer complaints and propose corrective actions.
• Act as contact point for food safety and quality concerns in absence of QC Manager.
• Undertake other responsibilities related to food safety and quality as assigned.
