Job summary

United Malayan Flour is seeking a QC Lab Assistant to perform daily laboratory testing according to standard methods and duty rosters. The role requires basic computer literacy, numerical accuracy, and the ability to work in shifts.

Candidate should have SPM/Certificate/Diploma and 0–2 years QC experience; willingness to work in shifts and be a team player or work independently with minimal supervision is essential.

Qualifications

• SPM/Professional certificate/Diploma required.
• 0-2 years QC experience is advantageous.
• Basic computer literacy and mathematical calculation are essential.
• Willing to work shifts and be a team player or work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily lab testing as per duty roster.
• Follow standard lab methods as written in Lab Manual.
• Inform superior and production if results are out of spec.
• Prepare additives as per Additive Request/Preparation Form.
• Check additive weight and label bags correctly.
• Update additive stock card after preparation.
• Enter testing results into online QC system at end of shift.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and tidiness.
• Perform other tasks as required by HOD.

• 0 - 2 years of experience in QC role will be an added advantage
• Basic computer literacy, basis mathematic calculation
• Willing to work shift
• Team player, able to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibility

• Perform daily lab testing as per duty roster arrange by direct superior.
• Perform lab testing according to the standard method written in Lab Manual.
• Ensure the lab testing result is within the internal specification and immediately inform direct superior and production personnel when the testing result is out of specification.
• Prepare the additives used for production as per < Additive Request / Preparation Form >.
• Make sure the weight of individual additive is correct before preparation and label the plastic bag accordingly.
• Update the additive stock card after preparation of additive.
• Correctly key in the testing result to online QC system at the end of the shift.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness and tidiness.
• Perform other task as and when require by HOD.
