Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. in Penang is seeking a QA Inspector to perform quality inspections and maintain the Quality Management System documentation.

You will verify products, materials, and processes meet standards through inspections, records, ERP transactions, and compliance with procedures. You will assist with quality system administration, ERP material movements, and qualification activities supporting engineering and manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to understand basic Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Basic math and basic computer skills.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs.
• Able to follow instructions from Lead Operator/Line Leader.
• Able to use basic measurement tools (calipers, micrometer).
• Able to read basic drawing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections in the department.
• Assist in preparing Quality Procedures, Work Instructions and Quality Forms; filing and distribution.
• Issue Quality Forms to departments and remove old forms from production floor.
• Maintain records of document changes and master lists of Quality/Environment records.
• Assist Quality Manager in maintaining Quality System records.
• Conduct QC inspection jobs and ERP material movements.
• Assist with qualification activities for engineers.

Job description

The QA Inspector is responsible for performing quality inspections and supporting the maintenance of the Quality Management System. He/She ensures products, materials, and processes meet established quality standards through inspection activities, document control, record maintenance, ERP transactions, and compliance with quality procedures and work instructions. The QA Inspector also assists with quality system administration, material movements in the ERP system, and qualification activities supporting engineering and manufacturing operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for Quality Inspection in the department.
• Assisting in preparation of Quality Procedures, Work Instruction and Quality Form – taking copies/filing/labeling/distributing to various departments.
• Issuing Quality Forms to the respective departments and removing old forms from production floor.
• Maintaining record of document changes.
• Updating master list of documents and list of Quality/Environment Records.
• Assisting Quality Manager in maintaining Quality System records.
• QC Inspection jobs.
• Performing the material movements in in ERP system
• Assist on the qualification for the engineers.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
