Job summary

A food safety management company in Johor Bahru is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to implement and maintain food safety management systems, ensuring compliance with HACCP, GMP, and ISO standards. Job description

Implement and maintain Food Safety Management Systems (HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000).

Conduct monthly inspection, internal audits, supplier audits, and ensure corrective actions are completed.

Monitor and verify production processes to ensure compliance with SOPs and quality standards.

Manage documentation and record-keeping for food safety management systems and regulatory compliance.

Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances; implement preventive measures.

Train and guide QA/QC team members and production staff on food safety and quality practices.

Collaborate with R&D and Production for new product development and process validation.

Develop, review, and maintain Production SOPs and detailed Working Instructions to ensure consistency, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Oversee incoming, in-process, and outgoing quality checks, ensuring raw materials and finished product comply with SOPs and food safety standards.

Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements (e.g., MOH, VHM, Halal, etc.).

Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

Prepare for and support external audits by certification bodies and authorities.

Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce risks, and to drive initiatives for efficiency and quality enhancement.

Participate in system implementation projects (QA software, ERP integration) and provide user feedback for enhancements.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify opportunities for digitalization (e.g., electronic checklists, IoT monitoring, automated reporting).

Job requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years in QA/QC within the food industry; experience in central kitchen or large‑scale production/manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficient in documentation and audit processes.
