Job summary

Techstreet Malaysia is seeking a Test Engineer to develop and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases for software applications, ensuring coverage of functional and non-functional requirements. You will execute manual and automated tests and work closely with developers to ensure quality from early stages.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT and at least two years in QA, with experience in Selenium or JUnit.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields is mandatory.
Proven experience in a Quality Assurance or similar role, with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Proficiency in creating and executing test cases, defect tracking and reporting.
Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar frameworks.
Familiarity with performance testing and load testing tools is a plus.
Able to read, speak and write in mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin speaking clients.
Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles and Agile methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and identify root causes.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases for software applications.
Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects, verify fixes, and validate new features.
Collaborate closely with the software development team to understand project requirements and ensure proper test coverage.
Document and report defects, including detailed reproduction steps and root cause analysis.
Conduct regression testing to maintain product stability and prevent regression issues.
Proactively identify potential areas for improvement in the software development process and contribute to process enhancements.
Participate in cross-functional team meetings to provide quality assurance insights and recommendations. Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies in software testing and quality assurance.
