Job summary

GSH Precision Technology SDN BHD invites a Quality & Environmental Engineer to lead the development and implementation of QC procedures for metal fabrication, ensuring ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliance. You will collaborate with engineering and production to uphold quality and environmental standards across processes.

You will investigate non-conformances, drive CAPA, manage internal audits, and support external audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or related field (Mechanical/Industrial preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in quality engineering; metal fabrication or precision machining preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards and implementation.
• Experience with CMMs and precision measuring tools.
• Familiarity with environmental regulations in manufacturing (hazardous waste, emissions, recycling).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with quality tools and methodologies.
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma, or internal auditor certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of quality control procedures and inspection processes for metal fabrication.
• Maintain and improve ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliance.
• Investigate non-conformances, conduct root-cause analyses, and implement CAPA.
• Monitor environmental performance goals, including waste reduction and emissions tracking.
• Oversee and maintain documentation for quality and environmental management systems; audits and training records.
• Coordinate internal audits; support external audits by customers, regulators, and cert bodies.
• Work cross-functionally with engineering and production to meet quality & environmental requirements.
• Evaluate supplier quality performance and incoming material inspections for conformance.
• Monitor calibration of equipment to ensure tool reliability.
• Utilize SPC, FMEA, PPAP, 8D, and Lean/Six Sigma to drive continuous improvement.
• Mentor quality technicians and inspectors and provide training on standards and best practices.

Job description

• Maintain and improve compliance with ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems).
• Investigate non-conformances, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Monitor and support environmental performance goals, including waste reduction, emissions tracking, and resource efficiency.
• Oversee and maintain documentation for both quality and environmental management systems, including audits, management reviews, and training records.
• Coordinate and conduct internal audits; support external audits (customer, regulatory, and certification bodies).
• Work cross-functionally with engineering and production to ensure that manufacturing processes meet quality and environmental requirements.
• Evaluate and approve supplier quality performance and incoming material inspections to ensure conformance with specifications and standards.
• Monitor and coordinate equipment calibration (internal and external) to ensure inspection and production tools remain compliant and reliable.
• Utilize tools such as SPC, FMEA, PPAP, 8D, and Lean/Six Sigma to drive continuous improvement in product quality and environmental impact.
• Mentor quality technicians and inspectors and provide training on both quality and environmental standards and best practices.
