Job summary

Nestlé Malaysia is seeking a Quality Assurance Assistant Grade 2 to support sampling, testing, and quality monitoring at the Chembong Factory. The role ensures GLP adherence and timely documentation of results in quality systems.

Ideal candidates hold an SPM with a Diploma preferred, can communicate in English and Malay, and are comfortable working on-site to maintain product quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or equivalent certificate; Diploma preferred with experience.
• Able to read, write, and communicate in English and Malay.
• Basic knowledge in computer use, quality systems or ISO standards, quality control, laboratory work, or food manufacturing is an advantage.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Able to work on-site.

Responsibilities

• Take samples and conduct laboratory tests on raw materials, products in process, and finished products according to established procedures.
• Perform inspections such as sensory testing, weight checks, and quality monitoring.
• Record and document test results accurately in systems and quality reports.
• Prepare and manage samples for submission to external laboratories when required.
• Practice Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), food safety standards, and workplace safety at all times.
• Ensure laboratory cleanliness, organisation, and safety are maintained.
• Report any quality or safety non-compliance to superiors immediately.
• Ensure all tests and inspections are completed within set timeframes.
• Update records and quality systems accurately and timely.
• Report abnormal results or non-compliance promptly for further action.

The role involves sampling and conducting laboratory tests on raw materials, work-in-process products, and finished products according to established procedures, as well as performing inspections such as sensory testing, weight checks, and quality monitoring.
