Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia is seeking a Quality Assistant Manager for LV switchboards. The role supervises staff and oversees product development procedures to ensure quality and efficiency standards are met.

You will evaluate production processes to develop in-house quality policies, procedures, and specifications. Responsibilities include leading testing engineers, reviewing processes, and presenting reports to management on quality activities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering; at least 3 years' experience in switchboard company.
• Basic knowledge on drawing and control circuit.
• Experience in QA environment or testing of switchgear is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Establish quality procedures, standards, and specifications for the company.
• Collaborate with production to ensure products meet quality requirements.
• Carry out research to identify ways to reduce waste and maximize resources.
• Ensure manufacturing processes comply with national and international standards of production.
• Collect, compile, and analyse relevant quality statistical data to obtain information regarding quality performance.
• Supervise supervisor, inspectors, and other staff to ensure adherence to quality procedures.
• Review existing process and product specifications to identify improvements or upgrades.
• Lead testing engineers to ensure products meet requirements and complete tests before shipment.
• Prepare and present reports to update upper management on quality activities.
• Maintain proper records of quality test, procedures and standards.

Job description A Quality Assistant Manager supervises staff and oversees product development procedures to ensure that products meet quality and efficiency standards. In performing their duties, quality manager conducts assessment of company production processes to develop in-house quality policies, procedures, and specifications. They evaluate client requirements to ensure their needs are met by set customer service standards. They also implement and monitor quality assurance standards to ensure consistent product quality.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Establish quality procedures, standards, and specifications for a company
• Collaborate with production to make sure products meet quality requirements
• Carry out research to identify ways to reduce waste and maximize resources
• Ensure manufacturing processes are in compliance with both national and international standards of production
• Collect, compile, and analyse relevant quality statistical data to obtain information regarding quality performance
• Supervise supervisor, inspectors, and other company staff to ensure they perform their duties in line with established quality procedures
• Review existing process and product specification to identify the need for improvement or upgrade
• Lead the testing engineers to ensure products is fulfil the requirement and complete necessary test before ship out of the factory.
• Prepare and present reports to update upper management on quality activities
• Maintain proper records of quality test, procedures and standards.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering / At least 3 years’ experience in switchboard company
• Basic knowledge on drawing and control circuit
• Experience in QA environment is an added advantage
• Experience in Testing of Switchgear or similar experience is an added advantage
• Adapt at planning and developing standards, procedures, and best practices for ensuring product quality.
