Job summary

SH Seng Heng Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quality Control support professional in Klang, Malaysia. You will assist inspectors across in-process, final, and incoming material inspections, and help maintain quality records and reports. Training will cover welding inspection techniques and standard quality procedures.

The role emphasizes learning, teamwork, and ability to work with minimal supervision after training, with opportunities in a premier metal fabrication environment located in Klang.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Management, or related technical field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome; candidates with up to 2 years of working experience in manufacturing or steel fabrication are also encouraged.
• Basic knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, GMAW/MIG, FCAW, GTAW/TIG) will be an added advantage.
• Basic understanding of engineering drawings and dimensional measurements.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments such as measuring tape, Vernier caliper, steel ruler, and welding gauges is preferred.
• Willing to learn quality inspection techniques, welding inspection, and applicable quality standards.
• Good communication, teamwork, and willingness to work in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision after training.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Assist QC Inspectors in in-process, final, and incoming material inspections to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
• Perform basic visual and dimensional inspections under supervision.
• Record inspection results, measurements, and quality records accurately.
• Support identification, marking, and segregation of non-conforming materials or products.
• Prepare inspection reports, checklists, and related quality documentation.
• Monitor production activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensure measuring instruments and inspection tools are properly handled, maintained, and available.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, and other departments to resolve quality-related issues.
• Maintain good housekeeping and comply with safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
• Undertake other duties assigned by the QC Inspector, QA/QC Executive, or Management.

Job description
