Job summary

Zelcos Laboratory in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a detail‑oriented QA/QC professional to conduct incoming, in‑process, and outgoing inspections, verify materials, and maintain quality records.

You will report quality issues, coordinate disposition of non‑conforming items, and assist in CAPA and disposal activities, ensuring compliance with SOPs and customer specifications.

Qualifications

• SPM qualification or higher with QA/QC knowledge.
• Preferably non-executive level focusing on QA/QC.

Responsibilities

• Conduct incoming, in-process, and outgoing quality inspections.
• Verify raw materials, packaging materials, COAs, and finished products against specifications.
• Record inspection results and maintain accurate quality documentation.
• Report quality issues to Purchasing, Production, suppliers, and supervisors.
• Coordinate replacement, refund, rework, reproduction, or disposal of defective materials and products.
• Assist in issuing Corrective Action Reports and completing Material Disposal Forms.
• Approve bulk products when authorised and release only compliant finished goods.
• Review finished-product quality reports and microbiological test results.
• Place non-conforming materials or products on hold until inspection and testing are completed.
• Maintain retained samples, follow SOPs, and perform other duties assigned by management.
